DQ Grill & Chill

As described by the offering circular, American Dairy Queen Corporation offers single unit and multiple unit franchises for the operation of DQ Grill & Chill@ restaurants at authorized locations. A DQ Grill & Chill restaurant is a quick service food restaurant with indoor seating from which you will sell the full line of approved soft-serve, treat, food and drink menu items.

According to the offering circular, the Initial Franchise Fee for a single unit is $35,000 for new DQ franchisees, and $25,000 for current, experienced DQ franchisee purchasing an additional restaurant. If granted a multiple unit franchise under the Development Agreement, the offering circular states that the Initial Franchise Fee will be up to $12,500 per restaurant. Also, it estimates that the initial investment required for development of a single restaurant under the single unit franchise or a first restaurant under the Development Agreement ranges from $702,350 to $1,092,550 if leasing the facility and $1,027,350 to $1,872,550 if owning the facility (not including land). In addition to this estimated initial investment, if the franchisee enters into the Development Agreement, there is a one-time Development Fee of $12,500 to $25,000, or more, for each restaurant the franchisee is granted the right to develop under the Development Agreement.
