JEFFREY M. GOLDSTEIN
Jeff Goldstein is the founding member of Goldstein, a litigation boutique in Washington, DC. Jeff represents his national clientele in complex commercial litigation cases in courts throughout the country. Jeff has been practicing law for over 20 years and is recognized as one of the top franchise litigators in the country. Jeff graduated magna cum laude from Bucknell University with degrees in Philosophy and Economics. Jeff obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Boston University Law School, where he simultaneously obtained a Master's Degree in Economics.
After graduating from law school, Jeff began his career at the Federal Trade Commission, where he was Assistant to the Deputy Director of the Bureau of Competition. After leaving the federal government, Jeff joined the Antitrust Litigation Departments of two of the largest corporate law firms in the world, Skadden, Arps and Morgan, Lewis in Washington, DC. Jeff then moved to Philadelphia where he was a Partner at Spector, Gadon Rosen, a litigation boutique in downtown Philadelphia. After his son Noah was born in 1999, Jeff moved back to Washington, DC and founded Goldstein.
Jeff specializes in wrongful termination, fraud, unfair competition, restrictive covenant, RICO and encroachment cases. Jeff's litigation experience and expertise also makes him uniquely qualified to provide particularly valuable advice to his clients who are negotiating franchise and distribution agreements. Jeff is a frequent guest lecturer on panels addressing franchise and dealership litigation. Goldstein has experience serving as general counsel to several national franchisee and dealer associations. Jeff has also served as an expert witness in franchise litigation in two federal court cases. Jeff's innovative and aggressive approach to litigation has resulted in his clients obtaining many favorable cutting-edge decisions.
